Many Happy Miles
Colorado Springs Retreat
May 7-9, 2027

Choose Your Own Adventure at Altitude

Our first Many Happy Miles retreat is yours to design. Pick your pace, your distance, and your view.

Friday, May 7: We’ll explore Garden of the Gods by ebike or on foot. Your choice.

Saturday, May 8: Pick your distance at the Valkyrie Women’s Trail Race: 4 miles, 8 miles, half marathon, 30K, marathon, or 50K. The Colorado trails are (fairly) smooth, the cut-off times are generous, and the views are stunning. Run, hike, or mix the two.

Sunday, May 9: Take on the lung-and-leg-burning Manitou Incline, ride the Cog Railway to the summit of Pikes Peak, or chart your own course.

Prefer a slower gear? Other options include visiting the Olympic and Paralympic Museum, touring the Olympic Training Center, or wandering the quaint towns of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.

Whatever you choose, one thing is certain: you’ll connect, sweat, and laugh with a group of like-minded women—and leave with memories that last a lifetime.

THE MANY HAPPY MILES RETREAT FEATURES:

THE GARDEN OF THE GODS
On Friday, you have the option to take an ebike tour or a short hike through the (stunning) Garden of the Gods.
THE VALKYRIE TRAIL RACE

On Saturday, we'll head to this women's-only event, which offers six distances from 4 miles to 50K. Hikers—and hiking poles!—are welcome.

THE MANITOU INCLINE

If you're up for a challenge, we'll train you to climb the leg-and-lung-burning Manitou Incline on Sunday, the inspiration for the Stairmaster.

A TRAIN TRIP UP PIKE'S PEAK

Not everything needs to make you sweaty. Another Sunday option is to ride the historic Cog Railway to the top of 14,115-foot Pike's Peak.

THE US OLYMPIC & PARALYMPIC MUSEUM

Other non-sweating options include visiting this highly-rated museum, or checking out Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.

A UNIQUE HOME BASE

The Buffalo Lodge, a vibrant, family-owned business in quirky and quaint Manitou Springs, is our perfect launching point for adventures.

YOUR LOCAL GUIDES

Although Dimity McDowell (left) and Cathy Engstrom (right) are pictured here in Arizona, they both call Colorado home—and, more importantly, both feel most at home on a trail.

Dimity lived in Colorado Springs for three years before moving to Denver, where she has lived for more than fifteen years. Cathy has been a Colorado Springs resident for 25 years.

Yes, the air is dry and the oxygen is (a little) in short supply, but we love Colorado and can't wait to share our state with you!
